Social Security Income

What is Social Security Income?

Many people who qualify for SSI also qualify for ADA and potentially Medicaid.  These services can make sure you are well taken care of despite your disability and low resources.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is available for people who are:

  • blind
  • have disabilities,
  • or are over the age of 65 and have less than $2,000 in countable resources (or $3,000 as a couple).
And don't worry, you do not need to have worked to qualify for SSI!

Visit your nearest Social Security Office for more information.
